Colored markers are popular creative tools loved by children, students, designers and artists. They are easy to use, bright in color and rich in styles, suitable for painting, handwritten newspapers, illustration, design and daily decoration. According to ink materials and uses, colored markers are mainly divided into three categories, each with obvious characteristics.
Water-based markers are the most common and safe type. Their ink is water-soluble, non-toxic, mild in smell and easy to clean. If you accidentally draw on your hands or clothes, you can wash them off with water. The color is soft and transparent, not easy to penetrate the paper, very suitable for children, primary school students and beginners. They are mostly used for coloring, simple drawing and handwritten newspaper production, easy to get started and not easy to make mistakes.
Alcohol-based markers are professional painting tools. They dry quickly, do not smudge, have high color saturation and bright colors. They can be mixed and superimposed to create natural gradient effects, with strong expressive force. Most of them are double-headed: one end is a wide head for large-area coloring, and the other end is a thin head for outlining details. Because of their strong coloring, they are often used in animation, illustration, architectural design and fashion painting, and are deeply loved by professional creators.
Acrylic markers are versatile and creative. Their ink is opaque, with strong coverage, waterproof and sun-proof after drying. They can be painted not only on paper, but also on wood, glass, ceramic, canvas, stone and other materials, with strong durability. The color is full and three-dimensional, can be superimposed and modified, suitable for hand-made, creative painting, graffiti and personalized decoration. They are not limited by materials and can realize various creative ideas.
In general, different types of colored markers have their own advantages. Water-based ones are safe and mild, alcohol-based ones are professional and colorful, and acrylic ones are universal and durable. Choosing the right markers can make creation more convenient and interesting, and let color light up every inspiration.
